Primitive Black Cats

These two primitive little kitties are hand-drawn onto muslin, painted soot black, stained and sanded for a soft old worn look.

They have vintage button eyes. There nose is a scrap of brown homespun that has been needle sculpted. Mouth and whiskers are hand embroidered with cotton thread. Both are weighted on the bottom and will stand alone.

Both are an original design and will be signed and dated.

Primitive Cloth Pumpkins

I started making these because I couldn't find any green or white cloth pumpkins which go well with the colors in our home. These are sewn in sections so that they look more like a real pumpkin. Made from muslin then painted, stained and rubbed with spices they look real primitive in an old trencher or bowl. They measures 7 1/2 inches tall and approx. 6 inches in diameter.

$12.00 each plus travel.

Pantry Mouse with Pumpkin

~~~SOLD OUT~~~
Little pantry mouse to sit in your cupboard or anywhere that seems fit. A Soft in the Head design. He is made from distressed osnaburg. Has a stitched face and is 4" tall. His pumpkin is molded from a spicey dough and is not attached so that you can switch it out for the season ~ ie...add a little tree at Christmas. I have 5 of these available. $15 plus travel.
Folky and Primitive Indian Corn
~~~SOLD OUT~~~

Primitive Indian corn is made from either red checked homespun, light brown with just a whisper of green homespun or a bittersweet calico. The husks are hand-stitched tattered osnaburg with raw flax for the corn silks. They measure approx. 8 inches long. $7.00 each plus travel. Please specify which color ~ thanks!

Mousie's Home for the Winter

~~SORRY HE IS SOLD~~

Little mouse has found the perfect primitive home....a child's tattered and early high button shoe. Tucked in for the winter little mouse is made from stained nubby osnaburg which has been sanded for a soft, worn look. He has a stitched face and a corded tail which has been dipped in beeswax so that it can be shaped anyway. Tucked in tightly all around him is a warm nest of raw flax. All are removable...I have a hard time using glue on such a sweet old shoe. This is my favorite kind of primitive to make. Original and signed. $35.00 plus travel.

Primitive Harvest...Pears and Apples

These apple and pears are made from aged muslin. They have been painted a mix of fall colors and have been stained and sanded for a time-worn feel.

The apples are sewn in 4 sections and are 3 inches tall by approx. 3 inches in diameter. They are $4.50 each

The sickle pears are 3 ½ inches tall and are $3.00 each. All have twig stems.

Witch Hazel

~~~ONLY 3 LEFT~~~
Miss Witch Hazel was inspired by the old bottle I found...for sale in "Olde Finds". She is made from stained muslin which has been painted, stained, and sanded for a old worn feel. Her eyebrows, eyes and mouth have been hand-embroidered. Her nose is needle sculpted...long and pinched. Her bottom is weighted. Tuck her in your cupboard or on a shelf she is so simple and primitive. 9 inches tall by 3 inches wide, she will be signed and dated. I have nine of these available. $10 each plus travel.
